    just "scan" for open wireless signals from other hotels, if they are using "WEP" you can easily hack into their router and get a free connection.

      I figure I'm happy to pay it given the amount of cash SBR are putting down but I'll definetly scan for other signals before I pay out of sheer principle.

        no free signals available, all the casinos in vegas charge, everybody tried last weekend. some went to an internet cafe down fremont street

          thats SICK that they charge for internet access, free wi-fi is standard anywhere else you go in the US.

                  At least there still was a month ago or so. I rarely go downtown. The coffee shop is located next to the players club...

                    Good plan monkey although a lot of coffee shops still require you to put a code in but its worth a shot, thanks. As I said, the money is irrelevent in comparison to the amount SBR is putting up but if you feel youre being ripped off it doesnt matter how much it is.

                      Not sure if they require a code but there were signs posted indicating "free Internet zone" and I've seen people there using it before. Worst case scenario, you buy a bagel. Still cheaper than what the Nugget(and any other casino) is charging...
