Matchbook Is the Bomb...

As if most of you guys didnt know that already...

A story that confirms my faith in them..

So i got an email from Matchbook saying there are currently not accepting moneygram deposits but they have a new way to deposit some Company called IPP

I look up the closest IPP and its a cell phone store in the next town over. I go up there and make a deposit of $900 Earlier today. When I got home I log on to tell Live chat my deposit and my reference number. We have this conversation

Christopher : Welcome to Matchbook.com
ME : hello I would like to report a IPP deposit

Christopher : I am sorry. we cannot take this at this time

Christopher : you will need to go back to IPP and get you money back

ME: I just got a email saying you accpected it
Christopher : This is only a recent occurence
Christopher : less than an hour
ME: ok so is moneygram still down to?

Christopher : yes

So I fly and I mean fly back to the Cellular place where i made the IPP deposit and ask for a refund. They inform me they don't give refunds for that and I would have to Call IPP and explain my situation to them

I call IPP and after being on hold for eternity. They told me that the deposit went through successfully and that there was nothing that they could do but suggested that I call matchbook and see if the funds went through

I call matchbook again and someone gives me the SERIOUS run around saying theres a problem and I need to call IPP and ask for a refund. So I basically spend two hours call each place back and forth and getting nowhere with each one.
And now Im PISSSED because I think im out of $900

A couple hours later I decide to call Matchbook one more time before I decided to come on here and ask one of the mods for help. This time there agent i got on the phone was really helpful and informed and said he would work everything out I gave him my reference number and he said my deposit should show up in 40 minutes.

2 hours later still no credit to my account So I get on live chat And talk to Craig Constant. He says they have my $900 but the agent i spoke with eariler must have misheard my screen name. He said funds should be in my account in 30 mintues

And sure enough VOLIA my $900 is sitting in my account as i Type

Thank god for matchbook..I knew they woundt let me down... My faith in them has been reconfirmed

Not sure this deserves that type of title lol. I mean its good they figured it out but it sounds like you got jerked around a lot. Anyways, good on you for waiting for things to resolve themself before turning to the board prematurely.

I don't trust this IPP place. There was an RX thread with a horror story about them, and I started an EOG thread about it. Both sites deleted the threads. No way will I deposit this way.

IPP ( never heard of them) is 25 miles away, at some ****ing pawnshop, in a bad hood.

I trust MB, but this too inconvenient. The only deposit method ( to me) is deposit ** to Greek or somewhere, roll 1X, then transfer to MB. I'd want like a $100 bonus to do all that shit.

I fear something much larger is brewing.

Matchbook needs to resolve this fast. They don't want to dry up right before football season.

Then again, the guys making these posts are all brand new on the boards I notice. It could be the feds or other books trying to lower confidence in matchbook. But then again the stories could be true. Who knows.

Yea i know I shoudnt Have been to excited about getting MY OWN money. But i was so emotionally drained from all the calling back and forth. I figured this was gonna take countless hours talking with people and emailing back and forth, to see it suddenly and quickly resolved was a great blessing

It would have been nice if this IPP place was legit the guy who took my deposit said you could have used checks , credit or debit cards to deposit though them

That would have be so more convenient than withdrawing a sh*t load of cash out of my bank account hen carrying the cash up there like I always did with moneygram

Does anyone know whats the deal with moneygram ., I hear some other off-shore places are having issues with them. Are the feds trying to drop the hammer?

Anyone know of a good prepaid **** or ********** that works with matchbook?
