Am I right on this?

If Brandon Roy retired, he will not get his money.. but Brandon Roy got amnestied, meaning he will still got paid.

Roy would have got paid for a medical retirement. Blazers would pay him insurance would pay Blazers.

The insurance company is who dodged bullet here. Only way Blazers can sign Crawford is if they amnesty Roy. If he retires they have to wait a yr for the space. So thanks to Blazers amnestying him insurance lets out big sigh of relief....
