Buy or Sell CC Sabathia winning the NL MVP
He's 8-0 with an e.r.a. of 1.60. Sabathia is carrying this Brewing team. Buy or sell his chances of winning the NL MVP.

I almost forgot to mention that CC has 5 complete games in 9 starts for the Brewers.

Personally, I think he would have to run the table in wins, but I think he may have a shot.

            I say buy.

Besides that, right now the guy is increasing his value x10. His pay day comes at the end of the season.

Sell. As gm2022 allluded to, if Pedro didn't win in his dominant Cy Young year, there is no way C.C. could win being in the league for only half a season. In fact, C.C. is even a longshot to win the Cy Young, despite his dominance, because of the fact he was in the AL until July.

Yeah right, show me an over when Tim Lncecum pitches. Webb with more wins.
Ryan Howard will, probably get it. Philly goes to the post-season, Howard gets it.
C.C's hot, but not an MVP.

Its all about who makes the playoffs...

Look at last year. Matt Holliday would have been a stone cold lock to be NL MVP but the Mets choked down the stretch and let the Phillies make the playoffs, thus giving Rolens the chance to edge him out.

Lincecum and Webb both outstanding but Giants are non-contenders and if the Dodgers edge out the DBacks and the Brewers make it in the Wild Card with CC keeping this pace, he will be a little too hard to deny.

Well I was a bit confused by the Rollins selection last year since Holliday had better numbers, a worse surrounding cast, and the Rockies made the playoffs. Sadly I think there is a huge east coast bias when it comes to these awards. That's another reason why I don't see Sabathia winning it, along with what gm2002 and LT stated. I really don't understand how a guy hitting .230 could possibly win the MVP but sadly Howard will probably end up winning it if the Phillies make the playoffs. Personally, I think Ryan Braun deserves a serious look, of anyone on the Brewers squad. He has had a tremendous season and is quickly becoming one of the best bats in baseball. I can't count how many times he has either put the Crew back in a game or won it for them. Without him, I'm not sure the Brewers would even be in playoff contention.

                        Buy.
The Brew Crew have an easier schedule down the stretch next month, as compared to the aforementioned competitors teams.
C C (no dots now) Sabbathia has been BIG $$$ for my fantasy team.
But it will be a close one, no doubt!

If he wins it in half a season it will be a joke. By any measure of "value" he doesn't come close to Webb.

The NL MVP race seems wide open to me-- maybe that means Sabathia has a chance. I think Lance Berkman deserves to win it, but the Astros won't make the playoffs, so that hurts him -- though if Carlos Lee hadn't got injured, I would have thought he would win it, despite the Astros not making the playoffs.

Then you have the likes of Pujols, Burrell, Holliday, Hanley Ramirez, Ryan Braun, Aramis Ramirez, Ryan Ludwick. Seems like any of these guys could win it, or a pitcher like Sabathia or Lidge could sneak in? OTOH it seems that Webb has a good shot at the Cy Young, given his win total, and certainly the Cy Young and MVP couldn't go to different pitchers..

Maybe David Wright has the best shot to win it if the Mets continue to play well.
