            yes

acquiring a player that is about 7-8 years removed from his prime makes them a contender

Accidently stumbled on it while reading something on the LA times about a driveby shooting in LA. Plus, with all this Tebow talk, it's hard to keep it with current events.

Don't pick on the Clips!! They got a nice starting five with Kaman, Bledsoe and Mo Williams coming off the bench.

They're the 6 seed out of the West this year.

Pretty much the exact type of player they needed. It's gonna be weird seeing the Clippers in the playoffs this season.

they should throw him in that deal instead of Gordon to get Paul. They were over paying anyway but since the NBA is rigged they have to do that to make sure New Orleans has something worth buying off the league. So offer them everything they did last time, minus kaman and throw in billups. If they really want kaman and play hardball then whatever. Seriously theyre getting 5 players, one of them a potential overall number one pick for one guy. Paul is OK but not sure he is that great. But with Gordon and Griffen that makes Clips a top 3 to 5 team in the west instantly. If they trade Gordon to get Paul theyre just dumb.

You can't trade him right away. Against the rules.

I know Kaman eventually has to be traded because of the Clippers matching the Jordan offer sheet and this is the last year of his contract, but I could see them keeping him up until the deadline and then moving him. Showcase him a little.

I don't know about them moving Mo Williams. I don't know who wants him for 8 mill a year.

Clippers will finish somewhere between 7th and 10th in the West.

I never saw him as a force even when he was in his prime. He's just that guy that stuck around for a while in the league. He did have some good years with Carmelo in Denver.

Paul is the #1 PG in the league. Although trading half of your roaster for him just makes you the California version of the Hornets.

yeah i remember that now, off wiaver you have to hold them. Either way if NBA wants anythign for the guy Clippers are still the only team to have the goods. The 3 guys they offered should have been enough the pick was ridiculous and Gordon was assinine.

They have a good team right now they kept their center (thats why Kaman is expendable) and Gordon and griffen will be a year better. And if Billups is willing to help the young guys they can be a decent team now. But that first round pick is gold, it could be a number one overall considering how bad Minn will be this year.

Clippers already were a contender not sure if Chauncey can crack the starting lineup though.

LOL no chance in hell they take that. I would bet Stern would want Bynum, Pau and cash (an amount to pay some salary or luxury tax)

They turned down a lot more than that for him already, and the Clipper offer was better than the laker deal.

Stern is just an idiot and the league owning that team is a joke. Like I said when they stopped the Lakers the first time.

Unless they start forcing guys to stay places hoping to build up these small market teams, and to me N.O. is one of the top 5 or 6 cities in the league, small market or not, they arent going to get people to stay there. Seriously if they cant keep guys in Orlando Fla and New Orleans Louisiana how can they hope to get people ot go back to the dump cities? Or into OKC after Duran leaves? Thunder is contracted or moved as soon as he fulfills his contract there to be sure. So those fans better live it up now.

NBA is a joke and I cant believe I wasted so much tie typing about it. But I have always liked the Clippers, so I want to see them do well, it just sucks that Sterling still owns them because that guy is a piece of shit. So it is a grueling thing hoping they do well.

You should look at some of the teams he's carried to the playoffs. Look at the roster of guys he took to within 1 game of the Western Conference Finals.
