Is it just me or are all the updaters sniffing glue tonight??

Smitch124 i use to work for sportsline.com they have a branch in ft laud where they do the live scoring, and from my experience most of them are drug addicts and worried about who's winning the other games in the process of doing their updates ............ meaning most of them r degenerate gamblers making 10 dollars an hour

I use it constantly, I think the info they use comes directly from the stadium, they send someone to every game for their text play-by-play, and yes....some nights I do wonder about the mental age of their recruits.

i use to work there when they paid you 50.00 a game you did the stats for, one of the reasons why i left them , because on a saturday or sunday you could cover up to 5-7 games a day and make a living doing so .......... but anyways just my 2 sence

their updates on unranked college football games is really bad

The reason i say theyre at the stadiums is because they place an ad on the site every year asking for college kids who live in a sports town and are looking for extra cash to apply to go to games for free. Im serious.

They've been doing that for YEARS. I've sent dozens of complaints but they go unanswered.

Another annoying thing they do is in the bottom of the 9th. Whenever there's a walkoff win, it takes them 5 min to put it. So I always end up going to Yahoo or ESPN to find out what happened. And it's always a walkoff hit.

I was one of the best though , I took my job very seriously and thats why they had me always doing the updates for the "Finals" "Superbowl" etc

i use it, they are a little slow sometimes, but i like the lay-out better than other sports site, so that's why i use it alot.

hey BTJ , how can i get that gig here in Louisville, i got cable and a computer, hell i'll get a gameday package or satellite if i have to. hell, be able to sit at home and watch games and enter the info into a computer and get paid for it, I want in.

the stadium gigs r totally separate from CBS

That happens sometimes (quite often actually). It can be annoying but I still love tracking games with them.

So who gets the stadium gigs? There is a live score site that sends people to the game, I'm 100% sure I've seen this.

Sportsline forum used to be such a disaster too. There was this mod/prick who picked fights with everyone and would delete all our posts. But if he really hated you, he'd delete everything except the post where you gave out a losing pick. We would retaliate by spamming the board with 100s of worthless threads while he was away at lunch or something. Ahhhh, good times.

Sportsline is the major score retriever for most posters

They definitely have the best setup, and I like them and will continue to use them. But they were just making a ton of mistakes on just the part of games that I was most interested in.

How did the Angels score a run on a FC with 2 outs and the bases loaded!!!

I kinda like the delays before an important play happens. I'm sitting there watching and thinking either my team scored a couple runs or dude grounded into a double play. Either a big rush or a huge let down when it finally updates.

LOL!! Yep been there, but then sometimes after a long delay with 2 on 2 out 1 run game.................foul (glue sniffer updater)
