Buying tickets for costa rica 2morow when i collect, need advice!!!
had my best week so far this year so deciding to pack up and go with the g/f to costa rica for the weekend, for our first time.. yeah i know, I shouldnt go with the g.f but she sweated all the games with me today so she deserves it every bit as much as i do.

I obv cant bang any broads cause ill be with the wifey but can anyone point me in the right direction to a good and cheap fishing charter?? I just wanna catch snook and rooster fish.. preferably inshore. I get sea sick past 15 miles offshore..

Im only going thursday coming back sunday, so i'm figuring 650 bucks is good enough to have a decent time? Im getting hooked up withthe airline tickets ( cousins wife works for an airline, hooking it up w buddy passes). Other than that if any of you know of some hot spots, or cool excursions or some shit to have a good time over the weekend please lmk.

Forgot to mention, I think the airline flies to san jose so thats where ill be by. and im going with my g/f. my cousin and his wife.. so fishing Charter, and excursions are split bills.

Gatta love winning weeks man, I finally killed the books today and cant wait to enjoy the weekend to their expense!!

i thought tamarindo and playa negra were pretty cool, but it was a long time ago. tamarindo is on the west side, and was really natural and cheap when i was there. i think it got built up a bit though. the Santa Rosa dry forest was awesome too. really just bumping this so someone else can respondbecause i know a lot of posters have been there.

It looks like from San Jose, you'll be closest to the Gulf of Nicoya. I found this cool article on local and inshore fishing. I have a buddy that lives there, but fishing is probably the last thing you'd find him doing. Have fun and post a pic if you reel in a nice one!

This one looked pretty good for some activities to check out. My buddy Keith has been to the gold museum in downtown San Jose, says it's well worth check'in out.

san jose can be pretty sketchy. make sure if you havent traveled that much out of the states that you know the usual preventative shit that needs to be done in a third world country.

Whatever you do avoid San Jose the most you can... shitty city... I know it... I live here... go to Papagayo, Tamarindo, Conchal (Best Beach on my opinion), Coco... that is all on the north-west side... or you can go to the south west side to the Peninsula de Osa and go fish there, like 3 years ago I went there and we saw whales and shit... I do suggest some beaches on the east side (Limon), but as well as San Jose, stay away from the main city in Limon... too much crime going on down here, just want to keep you guys safe and prevent you from having a bad expirience here... but besides that everything is awesome and you will enjoy your stay I guarantee it

Fly into the international airport in Liberia up in Guanacaste. All the best beaches and resorts are up there. Stay away from San Jose.
