Not sure what others think but I think the main thing to know when it comes to bank roll management is to not chase a loss. If you have the ability to take a loss and move on to the next day you are a big step ahead of most gamblers. Secondly, the amount bet per game depends on the bankroll and the risk that the player likes to make. Obviously if your bankroll is $1,000 your betting units shouldn't be $100 a game because you go on a bad streak and your bankroll is pretty much shot. $20-$50 a game with a $1,000 bankroll would be a good start.

I chase and I don't bet the same amounts each game. I just know what I SHOULD be doing but its hard to stick to it.Best of luck

Personally, I usually bet 2% for baseball, 3% for hockey/basketball, and 5% for football. And like Stacocakes said DON'T CHASE!

          gm,
Get over to the think tank and watch Justin's video's:

Beginners Guide to NFL line movements

          What Edge to You Have

These video's will go a long way to answering your questions...

But I agree with the others who have said 1-2% of your bank roll per wager.

1-2% per wager, try not to have more than 8% of the roll in action at any particular time. Tough rules to follow but when starting out bankroll protection is probably the most important thing there is. You can't learn if you're on the rail.....

Be disciplined, don't let losses discourage you, and try not to chase. The 1-2% per game of your bankroll is a very good and safe guideline for you to sick to.
