there's no such thing as a lock in any given game.. anything can happen on any given game.

just look at yesterday.. i had a buddy of mine call me and say.. NICKY, do i have the lock of the century for you.. i say no such thing as a lock. he tells me, this one is, trust me.. so i laugh and say.. ok genius, let's hear it.. he tells me bos will smoke TOR.. they are due for a good game, they are great at home, beckett is pitching.. sunday crowd all pumped up.. tor due for a loss.. marcum is crappy compared to beckett.. if there was ever a lock, this is the game. he told me he was putting huge money on it.. he told me he was betting BOS -240 for huge..

well, i dont have to tell you the result.. TOR 15-4.. and 6-0 bot 1st.. i am sure he enjoyed this game.. so much for that lock.. he usually calls me 13 times a day talking about games.. well, i haven't heard from him since that call..

BOYS, LOCKS DON'T EXIST. IT'S FUKKIN SPORTS. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN ANY GIVEN GAME.. no one knows whether that day, a team will win 18-2, OR lose 17-4.. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE..

There will be threads that tickle everyone the wrong way. For some, reading all kinds of math breakdowns and numbers does it, for others it's the "this is a lock!" style threads, etc. Ultimately, I think the key is just bypass the threads which are titled against your preferences, and enter the ones that meet your needs.

It's a big forum with a lot of people so there will always be posters you could go without, but the main goal is just to coexist in such a way that you only interact with those you share things in common with.

we can a make a thread for those who want to post locks and that will make everyone happy. Personally, there are only a few posters worth looking at their "picks" thread, and the good ones definitely don't use the word "lock".

the best thing would is if these ass-wipes who find locks would put their entire bankroll on 'the lock' and then go broke and the fukk away, the problem of course is that these fukkweeds only put the standard 2-3% of their roll on the play so they only lose a little and still have 97-98% of their roll left and then they come back and most more fukkin locks. it takes them 120 plays or so to go broke before the juice and the losing takes their entire roll away, and in the meantime, we have to put up with them but i have to admit it is really fun to chastise them before and after they lose
