This holiday is just a big cash grab by retailers, and women fall for it everytime.

Personally, I would just give cash to everyone, because I know that people dont need more garbage in their homes. My wife has to buy crap for people. Stuff is cheaper and cheaper and they can just buy this crap themselves.

Good post. If you look back, historically, friars and other clergy tried to set the date of jesus' birth. They are wrong at LEAST 2 years and are likely wrong by as much as 4 (then again, when you try to write history of imperialists that happened over 100 years ago, it's hard to figure out the 'whens'). As far as the 'date' of jesus' birth, there is much debate over astronomy pointing his birth to significantly OTHER days of the year (and years when it MAY have occured - again, we only have information documented that is over 100 years after when he lived... In today's civilized age we struggle with history 50 years ago, let alone 100, when most people could not read norst write).

What Xmas has become is a typical American holiday - spend frivolously to pretend we have the biggest dicks, the most kick ass planes and the hottest chicks in the world. Sadly, our Fed gives away money to banks to the tune of TRILLIONS.

F xmas, it's a total commercial holiday. I like it because I get to spend quality time with my family, but yeah, all holidays in the US are over-commercialized bullshit. Celebrate why you celebrate. F the rest. It's completely anti-jesus to be very commercial on xmas, but then again, athiests make the best christians, as they say....christians are so full of b.s. they can go f themselves. Hypocrites. Commercialism falls into one of the commandments about coveting. I'm no theologian, but I'm not a f'n dumbass, either. Until I hear of a christian killing their neighbor for working on Sunday, they will never have credibility with me (actually such acts remind me of muslim extremeists - not much difference, really). If gays are bad, so is working on Sundays. It's in the bible. Read up.
