Actually, the guys on the front page here are the more honest ones because most of them have their records monitored. Still, the sleazy scumbags that give out both side to each game or who greatly fabricate their records do exist, and that stigma ruins it for the honest, hard-working cappers in the industry.

No disrespect to SBR, but we once witnessed an advertisement for a tout on the front page who changed his record 6 times in an hour.

Richy, you're a fvkin joke. You sit around all day, drink and gamble on credit, and make videos so maybe someone on a forum will like you. Profits has done nothing to you and takes time out of his day to grade your record in a contest and you bash him. Then you make fun of his kids. That alone makes you lower than any stiff.

As far as touts go, most of them are complete jokes. I was cold called by one several times one week and i kept telling them i wasnt interested but they kept giving me picks and i'll give them credit, they were winning. But they kept gave me the "We win 80% of our NFL preseason games." When i asked why they needed to sell plays instead of just betting them, they said every book had them limited. I asked about betting exchanges, which obviously dont have limits, and they couldnt answer that one. They stopped calling though

The simple answer to the thread title is:

If the average tout is such a good gambler, he'd bet the games himself rather than selling his picks.

Until Matchbook came along, they'd use the bullshite line "we used to play our own picks, but then every major sportsbook reduced our limits." Now that you can get literally $10,000+ down on every major college and NFL game at matchbook, that excuse no longer works.

That said...I do in fact respect guys like LT Profits...he gives his picks out for free and leaves it up to the player to contact him if interested. The average amateur would certainly do better with LT than following half the degenerate lifetime losers on this board, I'll give him that.

What sucks for me is that I called a tout service one single time 3 years ago when I was a total novice, and now my cell number is on a calling list, so this time of year I get a few calls a week on average. No matter how many times I say I'm not interested, they continue to call.

Not to get too far off subject, but I've mentioned on here before the most rewarding thing to do when you get a call from a tout is to keep him on the line for a few minutes, act really interested, and get to the part of the call where you give your credit card number...then say "It's a ****...the number is...1, 2, 3, 4...5, 6, 7, 8...9, 10, 11, 12."

Then of course they'll get pissed off, at which point you just act dumb and say you thought it was strange at first but it's just a random numerical coincidence that you ended up with this number...then say "I've got another card, a **********, if that would help?"

"Ok, ********** number...9, 8, 7, 6...5, 4, 3, 2...1...then there's an asterisk, and an exclamation point, then a question mark. Crazy, I know, but it works."

Screwing with the cold calling tout used to make my day. Every couple of days it would be a different guy who was "higher up" until i got to "management" and pissed him off enough to get them to stop.

I remember when Brandon Lang whined & complained about death threats practically every weekend during 2006 NFL season. But that's what happens when you cost your clients over 1000 Dimes.

I hate touts personally because of their audacity and pompousness thinking that they are better than everyone else.

Wish I could get some links to those videos... My first service I paid for was BLang...then I found a site I could get many service plays off of for free...so i cancelled it after 1 month. Was great. Then we started fading him and walla...instant money...Fading brandon lang once NFL starts is best money in the business.

Correct, a good rule of thunb is if someone refuses to get monitored at one of the legit monitors, then they are probably a scam. I have never seen Feist or Wayne Root at an independent monitor, so draw your own conclusions.

LT, can you give me the names of some independent monitors? I've only seen a couple and when I see that every capper being monitored is from the same house (i.e. Feist's NSS or Marc Lawrence, etc.) I know they're not legit. What are the independent ones?
