    Part of a deal...

Old guy had it since new, he is the original owner. I've eyed this car for years. His son is willing to deal now since the old Bookie isnt driving any longer & in bad health

Classic car, excellent shape. Looks great. But it's like driving a boat, tough decision. How much cash does he want you to post up for it?

Fillling the gas tank will bankrupt you.

Only buy if its your 2nd car.

Just looked at your future car on the `net, SWEET!!
455, 7.5 litre motor, that`ll get the job done - Great weekend car.
I can`t help but wonder what it would be like to drive a beast like that with a five or six speed transmission as opposed to the 3.
GL and enjoy if you end up owning it.

Pimp tight for sure, but when you buy a car like that, its gotta.be your second (or even third) vehicle. Only appropriate on nice sunny days, maybe once every couple week. Driving it.more would depreciate a car like that way too quickly, not to mention repairs can't be cheap.

i have been around owners of quite a few older cars like that and almost all of them regret it.
yes it's sweet to drive around but something ALWAYS goes wrong, and if you're not mechanically inclined it gets expensive quick.

imho get a new mustang/challenger/camaro instead - base models are 300 hp for $22k or so and you'll never have to worry about something going wrong.

This looks like something out of Casino or Goodfellas. Make sure nothing is under the seat, and you don't get invited for a drive in the corn field.

For a couple reasons, first and foremost being that you don't want to store a classic like that outside.

39 year old car will have undercarriage rot. may look good from the outside but underneath there will be looming problems that are unfixable.
