Rockets hurt the most

With the current talks, Hornets are trying to unload Ariza's contract onto the Lakers to try and sweeten the pot for NO. I still think it was a fair trade to begin with but I wont mind having Ariza back in LA. My concern would be that this would tie up money and cause the Lakers not to land a decent big man.

I think putting Ariza in there would force stern to allow since as you said it eats up all the lakers cap..Paul, Kobe, Ariza, Bynum..I'd take that. Shoot you could even put Ariza at PF and start artest.

Are they any closer to a new agreement? Espn or NBA.com doesn't have anything in depth, just that there talking again.

I just remembered the NBA owns the Hornets.... no wonder the deal fell through. They don't want to get rid of their star player, just playing mind games with the fans. Tryin to create a buzz and interest due to lockout.

Not sure what this does to the chances of Lakers getting CP3 but it involves the Hornets.

IMO they shouldnt be allowed to make any trades period after that ordeal..but yea CP3 deal maybe still alive? What i dont get is he's going to sign with the lakers in the off season now anyway since the knicks got tyson and are out of money, so this whole stern veto thing makes no sense.

Lakers can't do this deal unless they have plans to get a solid starting 4. I heard a rumor that after the original trade went through, the plan was to bring in David West through a sign in trade. I'm sure that won't happen now, especially since West is signing in Boston. Probably don't have a chance to get anyone near that caliber b/c fuking Stern made easily one of the most ignorant, indefensible decisions an NBA commissioner will ever make.
Stern has to let them get a deal through of some sort to save face. I'm beginning to wonder if he's to stupid for that though. I have overestimated his intelligence once already.

I know the league killed the deal for Paul b/c they own the team. But i also heard that ALL trades have to go through the league office for final approval.

I just checked espn and they are reporting the same, they said teams working through the night to add more draft picks and young talent to new Orleans..no specifics though. I'm excited but then again we saw what happened last time..

LA needs to just go ahead and offer Pau and Drew for Howard. And do it like tonight. If it falls through, at least they'll know they gave probably their best offer and then they can move on and go full steam towards getting Chris Paul again.

I agree with you, adding Howard makes this a Kobe Shaq combo and we all saw how that was..man I can't wait for the season to start lol.
