2 45 minute commercial free halves. Don't like watching it that much, but it's nice for a change from 35-40% commercial time in the NFL.

#1 best thing about soccer....and I'm a big soccer fan. It's great...turn game on, 15 minute break at HT, watch 2H and the entire thing is over in less than two hours. College hoops is the only other sport that only takes 2 hours.

I watched a game last weekend with several injuries in the 1st half (2 of them had to be carted off on a stretcher). At least 15 minutes came off the clock with no play, but they only added 8 extra minutes to the 1st half though. I know the Over bettors didn't like that.

Ya, I love the tidiness of a 90min game thats over in under 2 hrs. As opposed to a 60min football game that takes 3.5 hours to play. Or a 3 hour baseball game (5 hours if its Yanks/Redsox). Also love that if the game is listed at 1pm...it actually starts at 1pm. Here in US if it's a 7:05 game you're lucky if it starts by 715p.

I agree, only way to watch nfl is have multiple screens with multiple games on, so when they go into commercial in one you can watch the other

I'm sure that will change when the popularity picks up on your country...

I'm sure networks would want to change the structure but how could they? It's global, and I don't see how they could insert breaks without making it incomparable to World Cup soccer. Those greedy rich soulless network fuks are so pissed right now

I remember seeing an MLS game broadcast maybe 10 years ago that would occasionally have ads mid-half. Three quarters of the screen was the ad, while the game remained on in a tiny box in the corner. I only watch MLS about once a year, but don't remember seeing that technique used since, thankfully.
