I'll take it. Any kind of upgrade over Yuni that leaves the Crew with enough cash to make a run at Aramis (or outside shot at Prince) is fine with me.

thank god he isn't with the Braves anymore. Seem like Gonzalez would come up to bat everytime the Braves had runners in scoring position and would strike out or pop up to first.

no way is he a step up from yuni b, i am tired of people knocking him. yuni b was probably our most consistent hitter in the post-season, and after weeks went down is the reason (combined with the pitching) that we went on that amazing stretch. his avg was 360 ops was 1.3. the guy was on fire for 20 games.

yes he can make care-less errors on defense, but to me 1-3 plays does not overtake the totality of how valuable he was to us last year.

Yuni's defense is terrible, might be the worst in the league. He was playing way over his head at points last season and no way will you see numbers like those again. Hell the guy walked 13 times last season. Gonzalez isnt going to win any awards but he is a step up.

Braves are trying to talk the Yankees into Eduardo Nunez for Jair Jurrgens trade.....Yanks see the writing on the wall with Jeter and don't want to pull the trigger.

yeah his .148 with risp and 2 out is quite troublesome, especially if he is batting 8th and the pitcher leads off the next inning.
seems like he was signed more for defense

at least seeing his name will always remind me of the OTHER ss alex gonzalez that was responsible for blowing the infamous "bartman" game when he flubbed the double play that would've ended that inning.

                                    Brewers are average.

The Cardinals are still the team to beat.

Cardinals started off the season under the radar while the Angels were all over it. Boy did each team start off the opposite of expectations...
