I believe it is something like the top 15-20% get prizes. There were no settings to set it up.

I am going to wait a few days to sign up just so all the rules can be known but count me in. 15-20% payouts sound nice and should get a lot extra people to join I would think. 1000 picks still is more then I would have wanted but that is fine. Won't not play because of that.

Hopefully we will have at least 10. I thought there would have been around 100 ppl. But I guess ppl only like joining contest that SBR puts on.

Since nothing was specified (and I don't think anything can be in non-SBR contests) here are the system defaults:

Members 1-9
1st: 100%

Members 10-19
1st: 60%
2nd: 25%
3rd: 15%

Members 20-49
1st: 50%
2nd: 20%
3rd: 15%
4th: 10%
5th: 5%

Members 50+
1st: 30%
2nd: 20%
3rd: 14%
4th: 9%
5th: 7%
6th: 6%
7th: 5%
8th: 4%
9th: 3%
10th: 2%

it seems the buyin is more affordable now. I hope I can come up with 1000 +EV picks, though I doubt that will be a problem if I can figure out a way to make +EV plays in baseball (shudder)...

Hopefully not. I was trying to get this going last year, but it seemed liked there was not enough notice or something.

I hope this thing will continue to grow each year, and tweaking it to make it a better contest.

Contest will run all year (2012) for all possible sports and options (ML, totals, sides). 100 point buy in. If you think you are a Boss at making picks come join. Min 1000 picks Max 2500 picks.

Honestly, what is the caliber of those involved so far? I'm not a great capper, but I certainly don't want to join and find out there's a couple gurus who frequently kill it and I would have little or no chance (seeing as I really only do well in one or two sports and would be guessing)

There is no deadline to join, you can wait until December and make 1000 plays in a couple of weeks if you want.

I don't thnk that's possible for non-SBR contests. Besides, the more the merrier, provided they join in time to make 1000 plays.

You get 367 days to make picks, so only 2.72 picks a day for minimum
