Marlins Offer Pojuls 10 year 200 million
Looks like Albert will be a fish soon. I predicted in a thread this right after the world series.

A team is nuts to guarantee him $20 million per at 40+ years old, and I'm of the belief that Pujols is the greatest hitter to ever play the game.

Marlins must be using a business plan designed by the federal government.

A-Rod gets 27.5 Million per year. Its been 4 years since A-Rod barely hit .300, Puljos is a way better player right now, Plus baseball players can play well into their 40's if healthy. A-rod also cheated. I think puljos is worth 25+million per year.

Last year was not the greatest for albert. He is getting older. I have never been old, but from what old people tell me, it gets harder to breath, heal, hit homers, etc...

Way way too much money. But Miami is obsessed with getting people in the stands for the next few yrs, and they need some major latin players to match the population

It's reported that the Angels have offered Pujols a deal but no terms have been mentioned.

The word at the winter meeting is the marlins are making all these bad contracts because the owner will sale the team in a few year so when those bad contract set the team back in 4 years it will be someone elses problem.

I thought STL had offered him more last season and I thought for sure he'd get more than 20 mil per. Looks like maybe he made a mistake waiting.

Didn't Matt Kemp just get 20 mil per?

I wonder how accurate these reports are. I would bet that he ends up getting more than 20 per.

doubt they would of spent that 60 mill and then 200 on pujols

kind of not really. pro athletes, actors or whoever have to pay taxes in each state that they play in. So yeah he would save taxes on the 81 games played in florida but still have to pay taxes in the other states.
