We need the rain in Georgia. Lake Lanier is almost empty. On a serious note a category 1 hurricane is very dangerous. I'm a structural engineer in real life and 90 mph winds will rip the shingles from your roof as well as the sideboard so don't take it lightly just because is category 1. And do not hide under an overpass if there is a tornado like they show on TV. It will suck you out from under there in a heartbeat.

Pavy, I'm guessing that you live more "inland" in the Atlanta area. We've had plenty of rain on the coast lately and I'm not looking forward to more rainy weather. I think it's rained everyday this past week (if not more). Wednesday was full of tornado watches, high winds, flash flooding....just a typical mid-week occurrence.
