    Let's talk about Vontaze Burfict
His stats are good, but not out of this world. Dirty player. He has a temper and sometimes costs his team in critical situations. Other LB's are rated as better. He takes plays off. Undisciplined, blah blah blah.

That said, how high is the ceiling on this kid? When engaged, he is a holy terror hellbent on destruction. He is the only defensive player worth singling out and following vs. watching the ball.

Burfict has the potential to be as good as any LB in the league. His draft stock has apparently tanked, but do you really think he slips to the 2nd round? No way.

    Dude is mean.

i honestly believe he could be the next ray lewis (in his prime not the jump on the pile guy he is now) if he wanted to be. The anger and aggressiveness he has is what makes him special but his ceiling is definitely determined on how discipline he can become.

If i was him i would definitely work out a contract with a team where he takes a lower paying salary but the team covers his unsportsmanlike conduct fines Goodell with be dishing him every week. haha

Do you really think that Pittsburgh or Baltimore wants the other to draft him?

Some time under the wing of Polamalu or Ray Ray might keep him just sane enough to avoid imploding with rage.

i think he goes either to the cowboys or patriots in the 1st round, teams that been known to take that risk.
if not he goes to a random team in the 2nd round.

I wonder why he wants to kill Matt Barkley. Maybe Satan told him to do it?

Ray Lewis is a total psycho, too. That's a big part of his appeal. I'm getting a little tired of pros losing a big game on the last posession, but smiling and fist bumping the opponent 30 seconds later. "Oh well! We're all still rich as f\*\*k and swimming in a sea of endless poon, amirite?"

He looks like an insecure mental-midget's wet-dream on Create-A-Player mode, but there may be too much fluff here. He's out of position way too much for such a hyped player, and is not consistent at all -- a personal foul waiting to happen.

If Shayne Skov hadn't torn his knee up this season, he'd likely would've shown himself to be the best linebacker in the country.

Time to bump this one up! Did anyone else catch my favorite psychopath notching a team high 8 tackles and his first sack today?

Cliffs for those who understandably forgot about the guy:

                          1) Burfict declares for the NFL after a terrible season at ASU full of undisciplined play, probably eligibility related
                          2) Shows up to the combine mega fat and lethargic. Posts a 5.09 40 time, slower than most linemen. Fails the interview portion even worse. To cap it off, he fails the drug test!
                          4) Goes UNDRAFTED.
                          5) Bengals (who else?) sign him as a FA, barely makes the 53 man. Still, never thought I'd see him play again.
                          6) Thomas Howard gets hurt, leaving starting spot for our favorite anti-hero!

Enjoy it while you can. A failed drug test, assault charges, falling out with coaches, et al wouldn't surprise me a bit. I would guess he's on a very short leash and will not get another chance.

Sidenote: he picked off a Tebow pass in a case of evil defeating good.

he is slow would of been a better player if he came along in a more run heavy league of the past, kind of reminds me of Levon Kirkland when he was a little past his prime

He used to be a lot faster , but he's that rare player who will ultimately be as good of a player as he decides he wants to be. Within a year or two, he will either be in jail for property crime or making the pro bowl.

I figured it was a toss up between the bengals and the raiders. In retrospect, I think Cincinnati is probably the better place for him.
