Never seen a division leader playing for a playoff spot play this bad at home. They would have lost to a college team.

He will never be an elite QB
Way too many INT's at the wrong time
Not good enough of a record

Sheesh, this thread is still alive? Are Giants fans still defending Eli?
The guy is a real good QB, but give it up on the elite thing already. If you'd like, we can go over game-by-game where Eli made plays that elite QBs DON'T make. The guy is a damn good QB, I think he's a better big game winner than his brother, but sheesh... And I'm not even thinking about yesterday. Yesterday is a HUGE knock at Eli's leadership. It's bad. A QB cannot be elite without being the leader of the team. I bet if you asked people who they thought was the 'leader' on the Giants and I bet a lot of them would say 'Tuck'. Stats aren't the only part of being a QB. Throwing a pick in the end zone in a critical spot after racking up 40-50 passing yards is NOT being a good QB. It's shit QB'n and stat whoring. Good QB play is to at least get 3 points on the board for the drive, not turning it over with a stupidly thrown pass. Elite play and good QB leadership is not having your team do fuckall the rest of the way after the critical pick (read: the game vs the Saints).

Sorry, clutch and elite QBs can't do a TON of stuff that Eli does. He's a nice QB, but he's probably borderline top 10, at best. He's not top 5 or top 6. Not even close. Peyton, Brady, Brees, Big Ben, Rivers, Rodgers - tell me you want him over any of those guys or he's better - he's not and never has been.

the thread died down on 12-18-11 and after that weekend, Eli has not lost a game

                            GO GIANTS!!!

eli finally has weapons and we see his potential... peyton had borderline hall of famers (m harrison, r wayne, d clark) his whole carreer who did eli have? trouble maker plax? imagine if eli had a tight end like rodgers, brees, brady, or peyton had? he elevates the play of all of his teammates including stiffs like k boss and ballard

I'm a lifelong Skins fan and I just can't deny Eli's talent (in fact I've always been puzzled by fellow Skins fans that badmouth him w/o looking at how many times he's won already). His success has taken of course longer than his brother's but I've always felt he will always be measured alongside Peyton's accomplishments (for good or bad, fair or unfair). If he wins Sunday he really cements himself as arguably a top 5 QB in this league.
