Yup. It would be interesting to to have a computer run a simulation for those two to see who'd come out on top - obviously both would have their data input at their prime.

Depends on whether Phelps gets an eighth. Right now they are both equally dominant for their time.

If Spitz swam in this era it would be close. Remember, Spitz broke 7 world records.
