and its not even close. He consistently gets top 5 recruiting classes year in and year out. He has only 1 National Championship to show for it and thats only because Vince Young carried Texas on his back against USC in the Rose Bowl. Now he goes 12-12 in the last two years at Texas. Hitting .500. Sherman just got fired from Texas A&M for hitting .500....and he never had the recruiting class Texas gets. How does Mack Brown hold on to his job?

He won't coach anywhere else. Since he won UT a title, he'll be allotted some sort of bullshit slot in the Athletic Department when they show him the door if he wants it. Guy has lived off that Championship for several years now with no repercussions. He caught lightning in a bottle one year and won it all.
