Disciplining unruly posters

With football fast approaching I was just wondering how we could deal with the loosest of cannons that are bound to show up.

I like the idea of requiring posters that simply must be disciplined be required to go to the EOG and make 10 posts. Been there lately? Very painful. If they are really psycho and need a padded forum send them to Bettorsworld for a week.

I sent the suggestion to Bill. When I didn’t hear back I asked again. He somewhat rudely dismissed the idea and stated he was too busy to “humor me” with this idea.

Next time a PatrickBateman-type shows up and causes trouble, send him off for rehab. What do you think??? Will it work? Any other creative measures?

Put them on ignore or ban them. Don't create a circus type atmosphere around them, as you would with your EOG idea.

I wish there was more factual handicapping on this forum. Don't get me wrong this place is great for entertainment, but the actual amount of good cappers/posters on here that win money consistantly is down.

There are guys here who you should follow, but they are few and far between.

Yea by unruly I mean guys that try to ruin the forum for the majority. They really dont bother me either. But they can drive off good posters so no choice but to deal with them.

Sounds like an interesting idea, I think the Private Zone is sort of like being told to go into your room, with your TV, computer, and other furnishings there. Pretty funny discussion brewing down there and adult topics to boot.

The good handicappers are too busy handicapping and winning money to bother posting their picks. Also, they don't need the publicity to feel good. Once you've spent enough years betting and have learned to win consistently, recognition from others isn't exciting anymore. A professional would rather keep a low profile and live their life since handicapping takes up a lot of their time

Also handicappers who want to be respected are somewhat expected to give a write-up with their picks. That takes time. It's work. Most who go that extra mile are wannabe touts (scumbags).
