why was this thread put in the private zone?
Can anyone at SBR tell me why the thread FANS OF POKER
was moved from the players talk area to the poker area, then
it's final resting place the private zone?

MR D i take it your a higher up with the company?

I know it's nicer and easier to have a sticky at the top of the
players page 1, lavashing you with praise in your efforts with regards to the SBR bash. which i'm sure you deserve.

What happens when someone calls you out on a post in which
you attack someones ability to post his/her opinions.

Hide it in the private zone?

MR D or any mods......why was it moved.

      Al,

I'm just one small piece of the SBR machine. You may of course contact anyone within the company, we encourage feedback particularly from loyal posters like yourself.

In reference to the sticky threads at the top of the page: that is the simplest avenue for posting information concerning the upcoming Bash. I wish that i could take credit for any of the behind the scenes work being done to ensure the Bash's success, but in reality i'm just the spokesman.

In reference to the "calling out" post, i spend little time in the private forum and just now read it. I didn't express myself very well regarding the OP's opinion. What doesn't matter is the OP's opinion of the lady's sexual appeal. I certainly did not express myself nearly as well as i could have, but at the same time i didn't necessarily attack the OP.

The thread was not edited, nor deleted, but moved to the Private Forum. Of course we encourage freedom of speech at SBR, however that particular thread was heading down a path that could have proven dangerous. The lady in question has VERY generously donated her time and leant her name to a charitable cause sponsored by SBR. Would it be appropriate that SBR promote behavior that would almost certainly offend her? The thread in question was moved to the private zone which by definition "is not moderated by SBR staff and may contain material which is offensive." In short, bad manners and rudeness towards a person who based on their actions deserve quite the opposite are the reasons the thread was moved.

I hope that answers your questions, Al.

MR D, Thanx for the quick reply.

While i agree and disagree with some of your thoughts, i do realize thats
exactly what makes a forum a forum.

I appreciate you taking the time to address the question.
