I grantee at least one college basketball game a week is fixed, probably more.

Say you got 2 small conference teams and the spread is like 20. It is perfect, pay kids playing for the favorite to shave points. Won't effect outcome of game, no one notices.

exactly- with the number of books that are in existence- they can place numerous bets at the maximum limits at many many places. they dont need to publicly sell the info nor would they post it for free on a forum to risk getting the FBI or BetFair or anybody on their tail.

fixes exist- you can find them by joining the mafia or paying players to shave points yourself.

I heard this story awhile back dont remember where or if its even true.. but this guy was saying he knew some guy/guys that paid 3 top players on some team 3 grand each and told them to do their thing but make sure it dont get over a 12 point lead.. makes you wonder in college anyway, money aint near as an incentive in the pros

I wouldn't say "fixed", that's a strong word, except for college (maybe) where there's actually shady people paying off poor college kids.

I would say the books have a large control over the leagues and there's things they can do that can greatly sway the outcome of a game.

If you gamble long enough, you can start seeing them.

For example: books rarely mess with important divisional games against big city teams with franchise players. But they'll mess with an away fav, with the same team, the next week.

There's little clues to tip off the fixed games. It's an art, really. I can't explain in one post, it took years to learn, and I'm still learning and books are getting more clever and changing up their game.

If there weren't everyone would be rich by now. Fixed games are a necessity for books.. Without them they cant survive, let alone profit. European soccer especially is the king of fixes.

there is zero question that SOME games are fixed. the issue is finding/avoiding these games and trying to identify the frequency of occurrence.

i went to a mac school. The football players and basketball players are just regular college guys. If i offered a buddy of mine 500 bucks, not even big $$$$, he could shave some points for sure. Then i would spread the bets around and nothing too crazy and make a quick 5g or 10gs. A lot of money for college kids. It happens in the small schools a lot.
