probably, but he's still never shown the ability to dominate hard court. it's too fast, it eliminates his best skill which is running down everything.

i still wouldn't bet against him at this point ( and i should add though that the last time i followed tennis seriously agassi and sampras where playing) so don't listen to me

Supposedly, Blake lost a point when he was up 9-8 in the 3rd because the ball apparently hit Gonzo's racket - but was just called out instead on a mishit by Blake. Blake claims Gonzo should have fessed up and said it hit his racket.

            Guess Djoko lost the Gold.

Only reason you were overexcited on Djokovic is because he beat the guy who crushed your idol, you knew deep down that he didn't stand a chance.

honestly bro, i thought djoko would take it because from what ive heard it seems like a fast court over there and man did djoko take it to nadal in the final a few weeks ago, but rafa is a damn machine, what a tennis player and some kinda hot streak, if roger cannot win the us open (which is pretty much a foregone conclusion), i do hope nadal wins it

5 slams and now on the brink of a gold medal, all by age 22, simply awesome stuff

buddy ive been rooting for nadal since i saw him play and beat mariano puerta in the 2005 french final, that was way way way before 97% of the lemmings out there jumped on his bandwagon, i predicted to many friends back in may 2005 that nadal would rise up and become the monster that he is, true story, i just didnt know that djokovic, murray, del potro, and the like would be so good as well, they are the future of tennis, in 2010, tennis will be at the strongest point it has been in a very long time

write that one down, in 2010, tennis will have 4 superstars who are playing at or around the same level, i think,

                        nadal, djokovic, murray, del potro

all 4 of these cats are sick talents

maybe even donald young and sam querrey in that mix which would make 6 great talents, the near future of tennis is very very bright

if gulbis gets his forehand to be consistent enough, adding him to your list, completely agree with you on the first 4! querrey is a top 20 dy is top 50 material at best.

Gulbis comes from a very wealthy family, and has even flown to matches in private jets, so at his age I'm not sure he's as "hungry" as other players with comparable talent (particularly in close matches).

I agree about Del Potro. Has 3 titles already this year and recently cashed as almost a 2-1 dog to the Stifler.

Murray I don't see him ever winning a GS.

from what i have heard safin is from very wealthy family as well, did not stop him to win couple slams. sometimes you can just do based on insane talent.

Perfect example though, even with those slams he never established himself as a dominant force, the talents there but he for some reason isn't mentally or emotionally consistent. His sister seemed plagued by the same thing until recently given she's younger than he is, but she's toned her body well and on a tear recently.

that is a different hoopster at covers.

how can you say you never see murray winning a GS? he is 21 yrs young and is improving steadily. i dont understand what it is about his game that you dont like. good server, great forehand, tall and deceptively quick around the court. you dont think he'll break thru at wimbledon or on a hard court?

Not to mention, Murray is an INCREDIBLE returner. Dude beats Djokovic twice in two weeks and then returns his ass off versus Karlovic, you don't think he'll win a slam at US Open or Wimbledon one day?

Murray will never win cause he will never overcome his own laziness and mental problems. Being 21 is no longer an excuse when u got guys like Djokovic and Nadal becoming grand slam champions prior to their 21st b-days. Murrays best was reaching the QFs of Wimbledon this year. You would think overcoming a 0-2 deficit and winning on your home court would propel him to the finals at least but he was destroyed by Nadal the very next match. Wasn't even competitive.

Beating Djokovic isn't as big a deal as people think it is. He is acting like a pussy whining about all the pressure he has put on himself. I mean he has committed tons of UEs in the two matches vs Murray which is very uncharacteristic. He was actually relieved and happy that he lost cause it removed the pressure off him. But like clockwork what does Murray do after beating Djokovic B2B? Loses to some nobody in the opening round of the Olympics as a -3000 favorite.

I actually think Wawrinka, Del Potro, Baghdatis and Tsonga have better chances to win a slam than that weakling.

I think Murray could win a slam one day. Wimbledon with the home crowd would be a good pick. He'd need help though. I don't see him beating Nadal or Federer, so he'd have to hope for someone to KO them & then let down in the final or something along those lines.
