#72That wouldn't make him SHARP, that would make him a CROOK. Anyway, I just sent him another 14 to make it an even 1,350. Thanks for your concern though.Comment -

#76John, you are obviously on the right end of this play. Way to be sharper than the rest of us who were suckered on this special line.Comment -

#89Nice win - the start was certainly not promising! Hope you offer this stuff every week. Granted this is first time I think I won one of these (a good time since with the extra special Jon offered was the biggest bet I've had so far), but I love the larger gambling with this kind of special line!Comment -

#90Think this was the max I've ever had on one of these thanks to John taking some extra. I very rarely bother with trying for a middle, and I didn't this time either.
for the bet, John.

#95Yes he would, whether he gave me the points for free or not. What would have made him a crook is the free-rolling of the bet, regardless of where I got the points from. But if I thought he would do that I wouldn't have sent him the points, I have met John and he is a classy guy, never thought he would do such a thing. It's nice to see where you stand on the subject though, thanks for the info, I'll keep it in mind with any dealings with you in the future.
P.S.
Thanks for the special John, I appreciate it.
Yeah, that was a bizarre comment from MM.
SBR does give away many points, in what amounts to a very generous customer reward program (maybe too generous since the SBR guys like a good gamble so probably enjoy the action). But once the points are given, you can't just take them back without it being stealing.
Just as importantly, many of the points people have are the result of being EARNED. It could be through playing poker, or gambling on sports, or giving loans... but not every single point is just handed over. People don't wind up with tens of thousands of points because they were just given all of them (although these great specials certainly help).
Thanks for the promo SBR.Comment -

#96At closing line, the special had no value. -11.5 no vig should translate to -8.5 -127, so -135 is a -2.6% EV, about the same as a random pinny bet. When the offer was made it was a fairly good EV, about +3%, but well below the best specials.
(Kicking myself for not taking the offer).Comment -
