Garcia and Delhomme are both attending another workout session. Nothing set yet, but it stands to reason that one will sign. It will not affect this week's game either way.

Garcia has seen more playing time recently (even though it has been the UFL), so he is probably in better gametime shape than Delhomme or Favre. Garcia used to also play for the current Texans qb coach when they were in San Francisco. If Yates struggles, Garcia would probably be ready within 2-3 weeks.

Seeing the CFL's Grey Cup was just this past weekend, the Texans should look into a CFL QB. Coming right out of their current season, these guys would be ready to go, and likely better choices than the scrubs they're looking at.

everytime someone mentions the cfl i think of dieter brock and cringe. how many cfl qbs have been great in the nfl the past 30 years? i can think of just one: warren moon. no, flutie and garcia were very mediocre.
theres a reason why theyre freezing their nuts off in canada.

Assuming they take on Garcia or delhomme (or anyone else for that matter) what kind of time frame can a qb learn the playbook in and would you think they intend to drop Yates back to #2

Can't believe that people still think Delhomme is a viable option.

I was wondering if anyone might sign him. Why the heck not. He's got lots of experience. He was a good QB Seems like he can still play and wants to play. Never understood why he couldn't get a job years ago.

Use the Carson Palmer situation as a guide.

Is this a joke? Garcia wasnt good 12 years ago, what has changed. Not to mention being out of the league for 3+ years. The only chance they have to win a playoff game is favre.
