    Houston Astros Turnaround Begins Now
Many a suffering Astros fan will know this is long overdue. Good to see our new owner cleaning house.

    1. New Houston Astros owner Jim Crane is a man with a plan — and that plan does not include general manager Ed Wade or team president Tal Smith. Both men were fired late on Sunday night, less than a week after Crane officially took over and promised to make some "very, very quick adjustments."

Wade didn't have much to work with while in Houston, but his trades wound up producing shit for prospects mostly. Good riddance.

The on-field product won't be competing for anything any time soon, that's a given. At least there is new blood though. Drayton McLane had his run and ran the thing into the ground by the end. Unfortunately the minor league talent is either playing at the major league level or non-existent. Large job ahead of whomever takes the gig, but they have a chance to build from the ground up and shouldn't be under any pressure to produce a winner until maybe five years from now.
