Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning has missed this entire season while recovering from neck surgery. Much of the discussion has centered around if he should return at the end of this year — if available — and if the team should consider drafting a top QB in the draft to groom under Manning in his final years. According to a report from Chris Myers of Fox Sports tweeted by Ben Maller of Fox Sports Radio, Myers feels there there is “better than 50% chance he retires.”

In Manning’s absence, Kerry Collins, Curtis Painter, and Dan Orlovsky have combined to lead the Colts to a 0-11 record, likely sufficient to earn the team the first overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft. The projected top pick in that draft is Stanford QB Andrew Luck.

Since being drafted first overall by the Colts in the 1998 draft, Peyton Manning has thrown for 54,828 yards and 399 touchdowns and been to eleven Pro Bowls.

pshhhhh... with the Colts front office they will stick with Addai Brown and the rook... they will take an O lineman later in the draft, try and use 2 more bummy DTs to backup Fili and Drake, and the linebackers are fine for their standards... NEED SS b4 another corner unless its a shutdown corner available.

QB is needed way ahead of all tho... as seen by this season, as seen by today with the end to their last 2 drives... as seen by how u end the game 3 yards away from a TD and 2 pt conversion and getting to OVERTIME.

they still got the guys to catch the fukkn ball dude... need someone who can prolong the play a bit and make the throws... like Manning or Luck
