I keep coming to the conclusion that you haven't heard the recording while you keep saying this stuff? I'm not saying you're entirely wrong and all that, but, if I'm Syracuse and I see what's going on at Penn State, I'd fire this guy before I finished listening to the audio tapes.

And actually, I think Syracuse did exactly what you are saying they "should" be doing...they stood by him before the real "hard" evidence was released...they didn't just pull the trigger last week when this all hit the "public eye" as you said...they stood by him...but, when the evidence got too deep, obviously, when this tape was released...they made a good business decision and cut ties.

I'd argue they actually did what you are saying they should be doing...but again, it seems like you haven't heard the tape!? Syracuse did, and they came to the only logical conclusion...time to fire this guy.

Shouldn't a bloody massive TV network at least turn something like that over to the cops to check out? We can speculate here now on how many more people were abused after 2003 when they were first told.

Oh and someone had the conversation before 2003 because Fine's wife confirmed to the Syracuse paper in 2002 that it was her on the recordings but said some parts were doctored. 2002 isn't 2011 but the technology was still there to figure out in an hour if anyone tampered with that recording to splice together her comments or whatever it is she's claiming.

That last accusation was clearly bogus from the start. But that doesn't mean the totally spearate allegations from the 70's to 90's, which were reported a decade earlier, were false. It's just that he could never be charged with these because they're way past the statute of limitation. So there was nothing to investigate further. My bet is it's true.
