Kentuckian, i've tried to ask grandparents in the past and from what i gather from both sides of the tree, is that i got all kinds of European lines, but it seems to be mostly Norwegian, Irish, German , and Dutch.

from my dads dads side, it is Scandinavian, mostly Norwegian, apparently when they got over here back around the civil war time they immediately went west, my dads biological dad was from Oklahoma, his grandpa or great grandpa was married to a native american woman and a white woman and had kids from both, but my dad says he is from the white woman lines, even though my dad is a big man and tans real easily and can't hold his liquor and has straight hair. my dads moms side is supposedly Dutch and Scottish, but when her dad came over at the last turn of the century the Germans ran most of the jobs in south jersey and Philly, so he changed his last name to Rolf so he could get work.
my moms moms side is Irish and German, probably mostly Irish, since i have a lot a pale skin and red headed cousins, second cousins, great aunts and uncles, oh, and shitload of alcoholics. my moms dads side is English and Polish, supposedly , don't know hardly anything about them, my grandpa just knows he was from Ky., his parents were from Ky. and their parents were from Ky.

I'm French-Canadian and Swedish. Pretty much half and half. There's a rumor on my mom's side (the French Canadian) that there's some Native American thrown in the mix, but being a strict Roman Catholic family, the old timers won't confirm that.

Like LVKid, my Swedish ancestors first went to Oklahoma, then migrated to Minnesota where they all (with the exception of my Dad) still reside. It's funny...even though I see them less, I relate much better to that side of the family. Hence, my screen name being Swede96.
