Angola +14. They beat China once + lost by 9 in lead-up play during July/August. Those games were in China as well, although not Beijing. Angolans speed gives China problems. Or Yao Ming drops 100 & China wins by 37.

See I look at it like "hey china pushed spain into OT" I feel spain is a hell of a lot better team than Angola... and now we know that the China/Spain game was racially motivated

My two cents on buying points - you aren't confident you picked the right side. Half a point is the only buy that makes sense to me. Helps evade a push.

buying a half point is usually not a good play, a full point is not a good play, but if they give you 2+ points and still let you pruchase for $.10 it is a good deal. It is not +EV blindly, but especially the books that give you 3 points at -170 you have a better chance to win.

I am a casual gambler.... part of the gamble for me is placing a bet just like I did with this... I watched the entire Angola game against the U.S. I also have watched both China games...

As far as not knowing anything about the game... who knows much about any of the Angola players? Who knows much more about china besides Yao Ming?

I bought the points because of some posts on here gave me the idea to. China was able to push and play hard against a good spain team... the 2 pts for me is like a basic insurance policy because I either see Angola knocking down 3's left and right like last game or I see them getting mildly blown out... but in that case I remember watching Angola go off and shoot about 4 3's in a row and cut the defecit fairly easy against the U.S. The 2 pts may not make a lick of difference or they could win by 13... bottom line it's gambling right?

the first half is the worst, because the transition form -110 to -120 is greater than the transition form -120 to -130 etc. Obviously if we could could buy a line 10 points at -300 we would all clean up, that is why they start charging more after a certain amount.

Angola will easily cover the +15 because they're black. Always bet on the team with the most black players in basketball, trust me this trend hits over 60%. Today was a perfect example I had Mali +60.5 vs the USA in women's basketball and they covered. China just played that OT game with Spain so they will have less gas in the tank. I wouldn't be surprised if Angola wins it outright here.

On China -14, huge home team advantage hear will hopefully spur the Chinese on as it did when they covered against US and Spain. Only reason Angola was closer final score than Chinese was b/c Coach K/US aren't interested in running up the score once they get 30 up they half ass it for the last 5 mins til the buzzer sounds

Buying points in general is pretty stupid/square...whatever you want to call it.

You might be able to make an argument for buying points in NFL game for "3" and to some extant "7," but buying points in an Olympic basketball game from 14 to 12....well that goes beyond stupid.
