how come one book lets you parlay olympic basketball but the other one does not. both are A+ books.

Call them and ask why. Maybe they consider it a prop or maybe it's simply a mistake...

Simply because not all books (not even A+ ones) have the same rules.

sickler is right, books can handle special events like the olympics any way they want. Tbere really is no right or wrong.
