LOL!!!!
On 2nd and 20, the last play of the game, they go for a 3 yard completion.
LOL... this was the most obvious fix in the history of sports.
Osweiler runs on 1st down with 1:03 left to burn off 35 seconds of the clock to ensure they couldn't possibly have a chance to score.

I wouldn't let it affect you from a capping standpoint. This was an obvious fix.
Cal gave 0% effort in trying to score a TD, and then Arizona State had NO intention of scoring.
on 3rd and 10, with plenty of time, Osweiler throws a hail mary into quadruple coverage with one ASU receiver in the area.
Then when they get the ball back with plenty of time to score, Osweiler runs for 3 yards on first down and stays in bounds to make sure 40 seconds runs off the clock.
Just a fix, nothing we could really have done about it.

Total for 2nd half opened at 29.5 at the Greek, that's all you needed to know.
Everyone taking more than o30.5 is a loser.

Nope. Just Arizona State. Cal just didn't want to score b/c they only needed the 3 to make it two possessions.
But listen... Cal was in a heavy heavy prevent in those last 2 drives. IF you watched the cover men, there was a spot in the middle of the field the size of a crater.
That means that a 20 yard gain was automatic if you just ran a slant to the inside.
Cal was basically saying, here, you can score the TD, but its going to take you a couple of minutes, and with 3:30 left, that leaves us with the lead.
So what did Arizona State do? They threw 5 yard slants and hail mary's 50 yards down field into quadruple coverage with only one wide receiver in the area.

Like I said... You could have brought in a high school QB and high school receivers and they would have scored a TD on that drive b/c there was a chunk of space in the middle of the field with no one within 50 yards of them.
If you guys expect me to believe that Arizona State isn't competent enough to basically play pitch and catch in a ridiculous prevent defense, then sure... that makes plenty of sense....

I liked Arizona State yesterday as well. From the onset of this game, you could see Cal (who has played quite well lately) wasn't going to cower to the Arizona State offense. No fixing or funny stuff in this game. Cal just out played them in the 2nd half.
