This is just typical hating on Duke. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a Duke fan, but he's had success with assistants in the past. Johnny Dawkins, now the HC at Stanford, was one of Coach K's long time assistants. When you have a coach like Coach K, your assistants play a different role than usual. They're basically there to reinforce whatever Coach K says, and they do their job well. If you had Coach K as your HC, you wouldn't want your assistants doing much either.

You realize that of your four examples who have coached elsewhere, three have failed miserably? Amaker has settled in at Harvard after bombing out at Michigan but really who cares....it's Ivy League basketball where they don't even offer scholarships. Quin Snyder was exposed as a giant cheater and still couldn't win. Notice that Dawkins is the only guy doing well and he's also the only one with any nba experience (I.e. has learned different coaching prinicples).

Coach K is amazing. But let's not act like his assistants are making him better....more like the other way around.
