We would love to expand our charity work. We raised about $4,000 for St Judes at the SBR Bash a few years back and $3,200 for the Salvation Army. It's actually kind of hard to get the attention of some of the bigger ones to help us get a donation page up and allow us to use their logos. But we are trying.

I'm wondering how much of this has to do with the fact that SBR is a site supported by gambling revenue(and kind of gambling site itself but not as much since its free points, although it does require support of gambling to get the full daily points and numerous other benefits). I would think that a lot of U.S. based charities would be reluctant to be associated with a gambling site especially in light of recent events. I've never personally had any trouble getting the larger charities in the U.S. to allow logo use and name for the numerous charity events I've put on through my service organization.

i reread this a couple times and it is still unclear to me how $25 will affect the tax strategy of someone in a high tax bracket.
