Braun. Much harder to perform when your games matter. I would've barely given the Cy Young to Kershaw only because Lee and Halladay weren't that strong down the stretch. Playing a ton of games against the weak NL West and their pitcher friendly parks inflated his numbers a little IMHO.

if the NL West has all of the pitcher friendly parks, wouldn't that make Kemp's numbers even more impressive?

Kemp....all day.
Bump Kemp's numbers if Fielder hitting behind him and hitting in more hitter friendly parks.

Braun batted .352 (12 for 34) in the 4 NL West parks. Kemp batted .327 (131 for 401) in those 4 parks. Extremely small sample size, but I still value coming through with big hits in a playoff race than just going out and playing for stats on a team totally out of contention. Still think Kemp wins, but I would vote for Braun personally.
Kershaw's numbers would not have been as strong if he had pitched all his home games in Philly instead of Dodger Stadium; not a fact, just my opinion.

Ryan braun by far. He has similar stats to Kemp, braun higher average, a little less rbis, a little less sbs. However braun almost never got to run, he had to be perfect because he was batting ahead of fielder. So his only chance to run was with the manager gave him the sign, he just didn't have the go ahead to go whenver he wanted like most top tier sbs hve.
Also Braun played in a play-off race, he had to have clutch games to clinch the brewers into the playoffs. Kemp just had it easy and had no pressure on him and go swing free.
Braun already got jacked the batting title by jose reyes being a bitch, losing the mvp title would be too much.

Milwaukee's Ryan Braun won the NL Most Valuable Player Award on Tuesday after helping lead the Brewers to their first division title in nearly 30 years.
brauny!!!!!!
hell yeah!
he deserves and to think the guy is gonna be with us his whole career. one of the best offensive players in the game. and to make it even better we got him at a great great rate, or the dodgers over-paid for kemp whatever one it is i am happy.

braun ran away with it basically, like i said voters like to go with the guy in the pennet race. Braun was the obvious choice.
