    JJ.........video request pal
JJ, I want to hear your input on buying points during football.

When is the right time? If a team is +3 or -3 or at -7 or +7. When is it smart to buy the .5 point. Show me what you got coach

jj, this video shouldn't take you long.. help the kid out.. but just make sure you mention the most important thing of all in your vid..

THAT BUYING PTS IN ANY SPORT IS THE BIGGEST SUCKER BET OF ALL..

that's where they get the player. they usually charge you 25% more for a half pt then what it's really worth.. so you tell him in the vid, jj..

I do teasers where you can tease the game 5 to 7 points and on up on alot of teams. They work wonders for me, Make some serious money on them, but just 1 half a point not sure I would do that.
If it seems to good to be true it usually is!!

I have a natural instinct to exploit market ineffieciencies!!

Buying points once in a while has also worked to my advantage in a few cases.

Look how many games are ending with 3 poits at the end recently.

boys, listen carefully, sure it might help you over a few games when the game lands on the # and all. but if a half pt is calculated at costing lets say.... 8 cents.. a book will charge you 11 cents.. therefore, in the very long haul, you will end up worse than just betting it at the real line.

it's all about %'s here. it is NOT a good bet.. that's where the book gets you. this raises their house edge over you.. they tempt you because they know people love the extra pts..

Nicky, here is my buying points data

              I am 12-5 when buying .5 (if I did not buy the .5 I would be 9-7-1)
              I am 7-2-1 when buying 1 (if I did not buy the 1 I would be 5-3-2)

i win, it's 10 freakin games.. it is a very small sample size..

i'll tell you what.. come back and post your record with and without the half pt after 700 games,, not 10 games..and if you are still up more than the regular line, i will apologize.

look boys, i am only trying to break down the numbers for you.. mathematically, it is a known fact that buying half pts and 1 pt is a bad move % wise.. it hurts you more than it helps over the long haul..

here is the proof.. look at pinny for example. if you bet a game, it's a 10 cent line. if you buy a half pt, it's now a 13 cent line. if you bet 1 pt better, it's now a 16 cent line. so why play into a book with a 16 cent line, when you can play it into a 10 cent line.

you guys see what i mean.. iwin, sure you can be up playing into a 16 cent line, but wouldnt you be more up if you played into a 10 cent lne?

                      iwin,

sorry for interrupting your thread for the request to JJ.. JJ cole, make this kid a vid and tell him about buying the half pt and 1 pt etc...

but iwin, i am sure though you now realize that when you buy 1 pt, you are playing into a 16 cent line, whereas if you leave the line alone, you play into a 10 cent line.. and i am sure you and i know that playing into a 10 cent line will make you more money in the long haul than into a 16 cent line.

iwn, be careful. the books want you to buy pts, trust me.. they make more off the gambler this way..

anywys,, jj, make him a vid.. he wants a vid from you.. give him your opinion.

right nicky it is a small sample because you do not buy points everyday, only when u see it gives you the strong edge. I buy points maybe once or twice a month during football that's it

i buy points on occasion, but i prefer ML's when i like a team +3, the chances the game falls on 1 or 2 for me to win are slim, so they need to win outright.
