JJ always wanted to know what you knew about ESB
JJ, i played at ESB exclusively when i first started wagering back in 1995, it was all over the phone at 1st. I specifically remember seeing their ad on the back page of the DRF at the OTB in Champaign, IL when i was a college student in the early weeks of 1995. They got their hooks in me and i've been a player ever since, lots of ups and downs, but i'm sure you know, it takes YEARS to get this right.

Anyway, just curious if you ever had any expereinces with ESB back in the day, they were a trendsetter then, everything else pretty much came after them, not saying they were perfect, but i never got stiffed and quietly moved onto other books in around 99 when online became a much preferred way to play vs always having to call bets in. Then not too long after that i heard horror stories about them stiffing basically everyone and they just closed shop after not too long.

    What you know/remember about ESB?

I played at all original offshore phone books
They were ok but I moved on to better books after that

did you know anything about the owners and the crap they pulled towards the end? Or how about along the way, did you have a good relationship with them? I remember getting my fed ex checks with a cigar included LOL

I knew no one back then I did not even post then. Now I pick up phone and get book , esb was set up right and was actually a pioneer in offshore wagering. They were pretty automated too back then. They fuked it all up.
