This game has been disappointing. Perkins hasn't been pitching well at all. Pudge is absolutely terrible. He has gotten at least 3 pitches that are easy home runs, yet he fouled them off. Ponson is pitching a great game. I understand that Girardi wants to give Damon rest, but the team needs him. Justin Christian just doesn't cut it.Comment -

It caught all Yankee fans off guard. The Yanks are already at enough of a disadvantage not having posada or Matsui. Now he is keeping Damon out so he won't get hurt. That's fine if the team isn't in a playoff race or have clinched. But this is inexcusable. Also, why he would keep Giambi out when the lefties hit Perkins very well is also a mystery. I still regard Girardi as a great manager, but this is poor decision making.Comment -

Perkins' stuff hasn't been very good. Ponson has been getting a lot more broken bats which shows that he is getting the ball where he wants. The Yanks should be killing Perkins' but can't seem to come up with the clutch hits.Comment -

Any person with eyes could see those pitches Pudge got. I am not biased. I realize that the Twins are a good team, but today's performance is simply inexcusable. The Yanks played much better ball against the Angels in this past series, which is sad because they lost those games.Comment -
