    Adam Dunn to Diamondbacks
This is a big addition for the D-Backs... But i have one question for anyone who can help me out... I havent been keeping up with Dunn so i dont know if he was on the DL or designated for assignment... but how can the D-Backs pick him straight up from the Reds past the trade deadline?

ok that makes sense.. why did they let him go through waivers though? he's too good of a player to just "let him go".. they coulda gotten some good prospects for him

His contract runs out at the end of the season and they apparently didn't think they would be able to sign him so they took what they could get out of him. Gets them off the hook for the 4 mill they would have had to pay him for the rest of this season also.

Doesn't he strike out more then he hits? Either K's or HR's.

Could get Zona to WS now, they were lacking power.

He's the epitome of a Three True Outcomes player.

His average is so low this year because while his career BAbip is .287, this year it's only .243. Expect regression. Average is one of the more overrated stats, anyway.
