Ravens have ALWAYS had QB issues. Yet they won a SB. Their defense will murder Russell and McFadden. Their defense in 2008 is a hollow shell of the defense that won the SB. They were 22nd in the NFL last year in scoring defense giving up 24 points per game.

Panthers defense will also kill Russell and McFadden.... if they somehow survive the Ravens. The Panthers were a middle of the road team defensively last year. 16th in total yards per game and 15th in scoring defense. They didn't "kill" anybody.

KC made two playoffs since 2001........ yet have beaten the Raiders 9 out of last 10.

The Packers were just 10-6 that season. Raiders were coming off a SB appearance the previous season. Yet Favre carved them up like a Thanksgiving turkey. Plus this Jets team is pretty much the same team that blew out the Raiders by 20 in 2006. But now have a much better QB.

Ravens defense ranked #5 in the NFL last season. And 1 dumb timeout away from ruining the Patriots perfect season.

Panthers were 8th in the NFC in defense only 2 spots removed from the much celebrated Packers defense. Not to mention having a tough schedule with 8 games vs. playoff teams.

So what? No team has ever gone 1-15 in consecutive seasons. Raiders were 2-6 on the road last season. They did beat the Dolphins but Culpepper was the QB in that game and Russell is FAR WORSE than he is. He'll turn the ball over so many times it'll make your head spin. Not to mention the Fins are much improved with Pennington at QB. Pennington has killed the Raiders in his career.

The real question is... would YOU bet the Raiders to win over 6.5 games? I don't think so.
