a rematch with bama would be stupid but a rematch with oregon whom lsu already sanduskied would be beyond moronic.

technically no they can't and you obviously have no idea what your talking about!
if lsu loses to Arkansas then its Arkansas vs Georgia in the sec championship and the winner gets the 1st BCS berth.
if lsu loses to Georgia then its Georgia that gets the berth.

Then the BCS would then decide who gets the 2nd BCS berth. it being either LSU or Bama.
so technically there is no way possible for LSU & Bama to make a BCS game if LSU loses.

        your welcome.

I think Bama did enough (barely) to move up #2

          Unless Oregon kills USC

LSU and Alabama should be #1 and #2 right now. Of course, a lot of things can happen.

Bama didn't help themselves any today. They better kick the crap out of auburn. If not any type of Oregon victory moves the ducks up passed bama.

CFB is the only sport that has a meaningful regular season, playoff games every weekend. fools who want a 16-team playoff don't realize that they're arguing in favor of ruining the sport. if you want a sport with a meaningless regular season, you only have to wait one day - shitty NFL is tomorrow. quick - what was the best NFL regular season game from the past five seasons?

the one thing that destroys your argument:

You have to start very high in the rankings just to have to a chance at the MNC

Exactly...and even if you watched the game....it all stands out....

TD 1 by Ga So - 82 yard fluke run

TD 2 was a crazy throw ovr coverage

                              TD 3 kickoff return

other than that....Bama was just going through motions (which I hate it when they do) and resting Trent a LOT to get Lacy in...and the 3rd stringer late. Not to mention the suspensions and injuries.

Where are you getting that Georgia with their multiple losses would get the BCS slot if they win? And going off the computer % each week...and the tie breaker of Bama over Arkansas?

I'll look into it all but wither way....looks like #1 #2 and #4 if not #1 #2 #3 tomorrow night will ALL be from the SEC West......gotta love it.

completely untrue. where did Auburn start last season? were they even ranked? your point is valid only in a season in which 3+ teams finish undefeated (and in such seasons, i would argue in favor of a springing plus-one system; there has never been a season that presents a proper case for 8-team or 16-team playoff). every team that has lost this season has had a chance to ascend to the #2 spot and has only itself to blame for its own failings. the only team that possibly has a gripe is Houston, but if you'd like to blow up the current system in order to get Houston into the NCG, well, i can't help you.
