probably cant call them a juggernaut but they have been very competitive the last few years in basketball almost pulling some huge upsets and getting a decent amount of wins.

I'm not saying Evansville is a play here, and obviously you got a great number at -3.5. I just agree with reis on the short home dogs for in-state games. It's a tough bet to get.

I know all of that, but honestly, IU's program has been a joke in recent years given their stock. I realize they were in trouble thanks to Sampson and they've had to blow it up and start from scratch, but this isn't football. You can win in basketball by signing about three cornerstone recruits. It's time for Crean to start winning.

like i said...this is was a tough little team last year that burned me betting against them last year....with ranked teams like illinois......

alot of experienced/talented kids there....a good coach...and a blue chip big man to boot....they are a sleeper team i think

IU definitely does have more to be excited about this season than in the last couple of years, but Evansville has imported some size this season as well and will make at least part of this game competitive. I feel like if I was going to back Evansville, it would be first half. I have a hard time believing that Indiana doesn't win this game and cover the original -3.5. The second half will likely be all IU, IMO.

solid post. I think this game will be competitive in the first half, especially if Evansville is able to knock down some three balls. Evansville does a great job of moving without the ball and trying to get easy buckets. I think once IU adjusts to what they are doing they will runaway with it.

I remember this same game last year. Evansville was up 6 at half and IU outscored them by 20 something in the 2nd half.
