don't you realize that mnf is the old snf and vice versa. they switched what 3 years ago. nbc payed more dough for the premium game. this should be obvious to anyone who has ever watched this stuff.

I like the announcers on NBC better and its an all around better production. I don't like the new ESPN opening or their announcers. Gruden is a great guy, and can analize like no body else, but the guy just doesn't say anything bad about anyone.

If you guys remember, a number of years back the SNF games used to be on ESPN. The good games then were on MNF. Once Michaels and Madden moved to SNF format, the good games followed them. ESPN still gets the craptastic games - plus their broadcast team sucks.

That said it hasn't been the same since all the games can be seen. Used to be special to see non-regional teams. Now it's the norm.

I still like the concept of getting off work on Monday and watching a football game. Same feeling on Thursdays. Even if some of the matchups, commentators, are inferior I still live for MNF. I think it's partially due to so many games being on Sunday diminishing the anticipation of the 12th game for the day.

By Sunday night and Monday I'm starting to get burnt out so I've personally always been a fan of Thursday night football (kindof a kickoff after the few days rest?) and with NFL finally getting around to part of the season where they add these games as well the night has just gets better...

Only reason i like SNF better though is because of Al Michaels, not a fan of Collinsworth commentary even though he's an ex Bengal.
