Recession has nothing to do with billion dollar sports owners you nit wit. Athletes are not just athletes like the days of Chamberlain, Ruth, Mantle, Dr J, Nicklaus, Hogan, Lafleur, Richard, etc etc. Sports now is big business.

I wouldn't call Ruth or Nicklaus athletes. Both walked and never have to run in the sports they played. You can't be seriously called an athlete when all you do is walk around the bases after a homerun or walking from green to green.
