Well I am up around $400,000 from live poker tounaments, but most likely I am down around $250,000 in sports gambling.

Fortunately I am up quite a bit from live poker ring games

                    I really have no idea...

How do you guys keep from beating yourselves up? From thinking about what you could have done with the money instead, what you could do with the time, etc

I think of it as an investment and keep telling myself that one day it will pay off

started gambling 5 years ago, have gotten exponentially better since then, I can still see a lot of improvement in my capping capabilities to this day after all these years

unfortunately the only thing keeping me from making money from sports betting is money management, I am horrible at it, I cannot stop myself from chasing if I am down for the day, working on improving in that department but its hard to control your impulses and vices

why is it that chase plays always lose? statistically shouldnt they win at least half the time? even if I chase with a -10,000 fav it will somehow lose

I usually only gamble during football season. Anything after would just be money left in the account that always runs out quick.

Most I ever lost in a season was @ $5000, had to give my bookie my tax return. He met me at H&R Block. Never bet above my head again.

Most I ever won in a season was @ $3000. Hit a big score in the Intertops casino that year.

Lifetime - who knows, it's entertainment.

Bro, you gotta start to think about the mind and the way it works and such... when we are chasing we are not in our right state of mind...

This has something to do with the results we get. The world works in mysterious ways, and your mind is a magnet. You will get the results that you are expecting, someway, somehow for the most part.

                                      stay away from betting NFL

that's most players problems is they like to bet things that can't be beat.

I learned long ago that if you feel the urge to gamble on a Sunday, head to the casino and get in a live poker game. At least you have a fighting chance.

Just a guess, down 8-12k overall in the past 20 yrs. Sad when you look at the #, but had crazy fun in Vegas while losing some of that. This includes my -250 overall in football this year

Up a few thousand in cards, a few hundred maybe one g in sports.

I doubt it's worth the hundreds of hours I've sunk in.

                                                  Thats the problem

with the time we put into this, if we put it towards something valuable we would make a fortune

                                                  were working for pennies

in some case working to get demoralized and lose money
