#4Not really. You're really underestimating the disparity between the teams in the scoring system that defines the rankings. Oregon still suffers from similar SOS issues that Stanford/Boise faced, and have one loss. We're probably going to see:Originally posted by zoo youkDucks back in the BCS convo with this performance imo
1) LSU
2) OK State
3) Alabama
4) Oregon
5) Oklahoma
6) Arkansas
7) Stanford
8) Boise
9) Clemson
10) Virginia Tech
But LSU and OK State are significantly ahead because they're undefeated on strong schedules. The thing about Oregon is their schedule is cake from here on out so there won't be anything to help push them up, whereas other teams still have the ability to rise.
Oklahoma could potentially vault into #2 with a win over OK State AND a weak performance from Alabama to close out the year. Arkansas could make the jump if they can beat LSU AND have Alabama fall to 10-2, but seeing as that ones even a longshot, anything below that is pretty much out.
The NC title berths are LSU/OK State's to lose.Comment -

#6If Arkansas beats LSU, and Alabama wins out, who would win the SEC West? (All 3 would have 1 loss and would have each been 1-1 against eachother)
I think that has a small chance of happeningComment -

#8It comes down first to record against common opponents, which in this case are even as well, and then finally to BCS rankings. Arkansas needs to beat LSU AND have Alabama fall to 10-2 to win the SEC west.Originally posted by MoneyLineDawgIf Arkansas beats LSU, and Alabama wins out, who would win the SEC West? I think in this case as far as I can understand under the 3 team one loss tie breaker
The commisioner would draw - or select the winner
If Arkansas could win and score more than 9 points Alabama would likely be chosen
as this is the points against by similar competitor
Alabama beating Arkansas So bad I do not think its possible for Arkansas to have a chance so more than likely they will not get up for that game to have a chance to pull off the upset
plus they are not playing at home - LSU vs GEORGIAComment -

why do we need an 8 team play off
The sec takes care of their business by having a legitimate championship game and representation
they have won the national Championship 5 times in a row - the only thing that would of changed with a 8 team play off system - sec would eliminate the championshipe game and more teams from the sec would represent the sec in bcs playoff games .....and likely you would have 2 sec teams play in the national champioship game more times than not ............Comment -

You do realize LSU and Arkansas is a big Rivalry and they always seem to have great games no matter how good each team is during a given year
To suggest Arkansas "won't get up" for their game against LSU is absolutely ridiculous under any circumstanceComment -
