Cuba will win gold here. Look how well they did a couple years ago in the World Baseball Classic, and they were facing Major Leaguers in that tournament. They are facing amateurs and scrubs in the Olympics.

i have a feeling Domenican Republic is not in this olympics. it's bull crap.. i was in DR 5 months ago, and i have NEVER seen anything like it. i have seen all the talent around thousands of parks here, and i was even an umpire for 9 yrs, and in my life, i have never seen talent like i saw in DR.. omg.. 15 yr old kids playing in the park across the street from my hotel throwing 90 mph.. throwing curves, sliders.. unreal. and on the field.. outfielders catching everythign out there.. and infielders with great range, and throwing rifles to 1st.. talk about cannons for an arm.. the way they tracked down fly balls. the way they run the bases.. UNREAL.. their game is 34x faster than here. and they are all like that, not just one guy.. this country is incredible in baseball. i was freaking out.. i never saw this in North America in any park.. they play like turtles here compared to there. you have to see it to believe it. evry kid plays ball there, and they are all stars.. just watch a game at a local park there and you will freak. i might have seen at least 12 future major leaguers in my 1 week there.

So my pick would have been DR to win gold..
